Why can OAN deliver so quickly compared to custom development or other vendors?
Because the hardest 80% is already built. Every OAN block has been through years of production use across multiple customers, so the reliability, edge cases, and performance tuning are already done. What we build for you is the layer that makes your solution uniquely yours, on top of foundations that are already proven. Fast delivery is a reflection of past investment in the platform, not a shortcut on quality.
If delivery is fast, does that mean the depth or quality of the solution is lower?
No. The speed comes from the fact that Capture, Workflow, Content, Security, and the other blocks have already been built and matured over years of production use. You inherit all of that maturity on day one. The work that takes the longest in traditional projects (hardening, testing, scaling) was already done across every customer who runs the blocks before you.
Is OAN locked to Oracle, or can I deploy it if I do not run Oracle ERP?
OAN is built on the Oracle technology stack (APEX, Database, OCI, WebCenter), and it is especially valuable for Oracle EBS and Fusion customers because every layer is natively integrated. OAN can also work with non-Oracle ERPs via our integration block, but Oracle customers get the deepest native fit.
Can I deploy OAN on-premise, or is it cloud-only?
Either. OAN runs on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for customers who want a managed, cloud-first experience, or on your own on-premise / private cloud infrastructure for data residency, sovereignty, or regulatory requirements. Same product, same code base, your choice.
OAN is a smaller vendor than we are used to working with. What happens to my investment long-term?
Your OAN solution sits on Oracle APEX, Oracle Database, Oracle WebCenter Content, and Oracle OCI. The foundation beneath you is Oracle, the same stack your ERP already runs on, with Oracle's patching cadence, upgrade path, and lifetime. When you evaluate longevity, the real question is about the stack beneath OAN, and that stack is Oracle.
How does AI fit into the platform?
AI is integrated inside the blocks, not layered on top. Extraction uses AI to read documents. Workflow uses AI to classify and route exceptions. Our agents (OAN Assist and the Global Risk Agent) operate across the platform wherever they are needed. There is no separate AI module to buy, configure, or integrate later.
What happens during upgrades and patches?
Platform upgrades flow through without breaking your customizations because your unique logic lives in a configuration and extension layer on top of the standard blocks, not inside a forked code base. Oracle Database, APEX, and OCI patches are applied on Oracle's own schedule, with OAN-certified compatibility.
